ALS may change her abilities, but it will never change her need for a space that feels like home.

Working alongside a client currently living with ALS was one of the most fulfilling experiences of my career. Together we lifted the weight of clutter and created a space that honors where she is today — and where she's going.

Goal

Working alongside a client currently living with a degenerative disease, she yearned for a space that honors where she is today. It's not just about an organized home, but also about enjoying the things she enjoys with the people she loves most.

Systematizing

We created a simple, intuitive system around how she currently lives, keeping daily essentials within immediate reach on the countertop, frequently used products on the shelves, and everything else tucked neatly away in the cabinets.

Declutter & Sort

We worked on a few spaces in her home, but began with her bathroom. As a self-professed beauty enthusiast, I was patient, allowing her to sift through every product while simultaneously encouraging her to purge what was old or she no longer used.

Small Details

An organized space should still feel alive. We finished with a few small, sculptural touches that make a bathroom feel less like a utility room and more like a place to exhale. Especially for someone who needs both clarity and ease, deserves a sanctuary.
